Vintage LeCoultre 14K Solid Gold Case Manual Wind Watch Single Register Estate
Original price was: $1,495.00.$1,300.00Current price is: $1,300.00.
Here is a vintage LeCoultre 14K solid gold watch with a sub-dial seconds hand. Measures 33mm with the crown, 31mm without. This watch came from a veteran’s estate sale.
Manual wind movement runs and keeps good time but service history is unknown. I got this at a estate sale so service is recommended.
Solid gold case and caseback does have scratches. But looks amazing for its age.
Crystal does have scratches that can be polished out but I think it shadows beautifully on the dial.
Leather strap is used and shows minimal signs of wear. Not original to the watch. Buckle is gold tone.
This watch is a must for any LeCoultre or gold watch fan.
This watch is used and thus being sold “as is” with no warranty. No returns, so please see all photos for conditioning. Photos are part of the description.
Thanks for looking.

Tracing Time: A Detailed Examination of the Vintage LeCoultre 14K Solid Gold Case Manual Wind Watch Single Register Estate
Brand: LeCoultre
LeCoultre is a brand with deep roots in the Swiss watchmaking tradition, tracing its origins back to 1833. It was established by Antoine LeCoultre and later merged with Jaeger, a Paris-based watchmaker, to form Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937. The LeCoultre name is often associated with the brand’s North American market watches.
Model: Vintage LeCoultre 14K Solid Gold Case Manual Wind Watch Single Register Estate
This model exemplifies the classic watchmaking tradition of LeCoultre, incorporating precious materials, intricate mechanical engineering, and an elegant, timeless aesthetic.
Case and Dial
The highlight of this watch is its solid 14K gold case, adding a layer of luxury and refinement to the timepiece. Given its vintage status, the specific size isn’t mentioned, but it’s likely within the traditional range for men’s watches from the mid-20th century.
The dial design is simple and elegant, featuring a single register layout. The term “single register” generally refers to a single sub-dial on the watch face, likely in this case, a seconds sub-dial. The dial color, markings, and hands style might vary based on the specific model, but they would typically embody the classic, refined aesthetic of vintage LeCoultre timepieces.
Movement
This timepiece is equipped with a manual wind movement, a characteristic feature of many vintage watches. This type of movement requires manual winding by the wearer to keep the mainspring tightly coiled, thereby providing energy to run the watch. The specific caliber isn’t mentioned, but given the brand’s reputation, it would likely be a high-quality, reliable Swiss movement.
Additional Features
As this watch is a vintage model, it might not have many of the features commonly found in contemporary watches, such as water resistance or a date function. However, its appeal lies in its simplicity, elegance, and the old-world charm of its manual wind movement.
Men’s or Women’s Watch
Given the traditional style and likely size, this LeCoultre watch is probably a men’s model. Nevertheless, its timeless design and precious gold case could appeal to women who appreciate vintage timepieces and classic aesthetics.
Conclusion
The Vintage LeCoultre 14K Solid Gold Case Manual Wind Watch Single Register Estate is a piece of horological history, showcasing the craftsmanship, aesthetic preferences, and mechanical engineering of a bygone era. It’s a great choice for those who appreciate the elegance and character of vintage watches, especially from a brand with such a rich heritage as LeCoultre.
