Here is an authentic Omega Speedmaster Professional Pre-Moon Watch. This is the transitional reference ST 145.022-68. This model has the applied Omega logo dial (like the 321 models) but with the newer 861 movement.
This rare transitional model was only made at the end of 1968 to the end of 1969. With a quick internet search of the serial number, watch is estimated to be around February 1969. However, only an extract from Omega will know the exact date.
Iconic 861 caliber manual movement runs and keeps good time. Chronograph also works and reset as it should. Service history is unknown so service is highly recommended.
Rare Dot Over 90 (DON) bezel has dings and scratches.
Hesilite crystal is original and has the Omega logo. Has scratches and scuffs that can be buffed out but I think it adds to the vintage charm.
Case and caseback does have scratches, dings and scuffs. Most noticeable ding is on the left side, see photo 5.
Omega deployant and Omega leather strap is used and shows signs of wear. Not original to the watch.
Vintage watches usually are not water resistant. Recommend service and pressure test.
No bracelet. No papers. No box. No cards.
This is a magnificent watch, a must for any pilot, racer car, NASA, or Omega watch fan.
This watch is used and thus being sold “as is” with no warranty. No returns, so please see all photos for conditioning. Photos are part of the description.
