Seiko 6105-8009 Diver Watch Slim Cpt. Willard Hacking Cal. 6105B Estate Sale Run

Here is a vintage Seiko 6105-8009 150m dive watch from the Vietnam Era. This watch came from a veteran’s estate sale.

This model is nicknamed the “Slim Willard”. The regular Willard 6105-8119 was made famous by the epic movie Apocalypse Now. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The same model was worn by Captain Willard played by Martin Sheen. This is NOT the screen used watch or the one seen in the movie. This is the “skinny” version.

Hacking automatic iconic 6105B movement runs and keeps good time but service history is unknown. I got this at an estate sale so service is recommended.

Date changes normally at 12 midnight as it should.

Bezel, case and caseback does have scratches and scuffs, but I think it adds to the unique charm.

Crystal has deep scratches that can NOT be polished but I think it shadows beautifully on the dial.

Green single pass nato is not original to the watch. It is tattered and scuffed but matches nicely with the watch.

This watch is a must for any military, Seiko or Apocalypse Now movie watch fan.
