PAYMENT POLICY
SELLING
When selling to me, I prefer either Pay Pal or Wire transfers. Wires offered for sellers who can supply same-day tracking information. A “picked up” scan must be reported within 24 hours of wired payment.
PURCHASING
If you are purchasing from me, I accept:
- Cash for Face to Face deals if local.
- Bank Wire is required for first-time clients.
- PayPal Friends & Family is preferred for returning clients. F&F is not required, however, if Goods & Services is your preference, PayPal’s 3% fee is the purchaser’s responsibility. All prices are listed as Net to me.
SHIPPING POLICY
SELLING
If you are selling to me I require that all first-time clients provide a tracking number the same day I make payment. Payment made by wire transfers requires a “picked up” scan within 24 hours of payment.
PURCHASING
I provide the same service I ask for to my clients. If we are communicating during purchase, I provide a tracking number within the hour of verifying payment. Shipments are only dropped directly to a FedEx staffed shipping location two times a day, early afternoon, and just before FedEx’s last pick up after the close of the business day. I prefer to provide overnight, fully insured shipping. This leaves little to no time for your package to be lost or tampered with. The priority on overnight shipments provides a high level of attention to the package and ensures it is being paid attention to for its entire trip.
COVID-19 ADJUSTMENTS
The current pandemic has changed how businesses operate. The same is true for shipping. Unless your package is being shipped to a business that has someone who can provide a direct signature it will be assigned to be held at your local FedEx hub. I won’t let you make a mistake.
Some watches fit a lifestyle. Some fit an activity. Certain features in a particular style of watch are perfect fits for certain professions, such as Pilot watches, Dive watches, and even watches that are not affected by electronic magnetism, in case you work around a high concentration of electronic equipment. If you are asking me to find one model but I know that I can put you in a different model with a better movement and reputation for a similar price and style I will make sure you know that. If you still want that piece for nostalgic reasons or it is a passion purchase that you just love; no problem. But I won’t put you in a $2,000 vintage DateJust Rolex just to put you in that brand. Those pieces are out there, but I have to sleep at night knowing I did that to you. No, sir. Not on my watch.
At the end of the day, being able to share an enthusiasm for timepieces and ultimately helping others to enjoy those pieces, those lifestyles or activities, and seeing them make new friends in this space as well is what it’s all about.
VERY FREQUENT COMMUNICATION
When I am engaged in a sale, at any time there is a change in the status of the purchase, you are updated immediately. That’s it. End of story. We set a schedule on when things are supposed to happen (when payment is to be sent, when shipping labels are printed, when to expect the piece to be scanned at the shipping location and when it is actually picked up/dropped off with the shipper). At no time should there be a question of what is happening with your watch from the time it is paid for until you take delivery of it. If there is any complaint about the sales process, it’s that I give too many updates.
